Our story began in 2022 when Kenita Mitchell, our founder, noticed the need for more culturally connected text in the books available to the youth in Escambia County, Florida, where the Harmonic Learning Education and Training is located. This observation inspired her to use culturally connected texts in tutoring sessions and dedicate herself to researching the importance of representation in children’s literature. Kenita’s passion and dedication to providing students with the resources for academic success led her to establish the Harmonic Learning Multicultural Children’s BOOKtique, where we offer a broad range of books that reflect our diverse world.
